WKA RULES AMATEUR 2010

there have been made some changes in WKA rulebook. You can find up-dated version of WKA amateur official rulebook 2010 which will be apllied on WKA Worldchampionship 2010 on following web page: www.worldkickboxing.com. WKA HQ would like to apologize for delay with publishing up-dated version of WKA rulebook 2010.

 

These are the main changes which have been made for 2010:

 

General part:

1.               page 6 – professional defenition:      

Professional is competitor who is under a professional contract and simultaneously earns more than 100.000,-EUR per year by pro-fights.

2.               end of knock down karate division

 

Pointfighting:

1.               page 18 – Ringstar or KWON shoes are optional in PF

2.               page 23 – majority vote explanation

 

Forms:

1.                page 27 - In case of a draw/tie in Hard Style, Korean, Soft Style, Traditional Karate the competitor will be asked to do a second form which shall be mandatory different from the previous one.

2.                page 27 - All music must be on CD. Competitors must have only the song they are competing with burned to a CD and set for play. One CD one song per division. Each competitor is responsible if they are using different music for their intro, form and ending to edit it and mix it themselves. The person in charge of playing music for the competitors will not be allowed to change CD’s once a competitor’s music as started. All CD’s must be labeled with a permanent maker the Competitors name, their country and their division.

 

Karate Kumite:

1.               page 31 – mask for children are obligatory

 

Lightcontact:

1.               page 37 – handwraps are optional

 

As mentioned above, for all changes which have been made in WKA amateur rulebook, we strongly recommend to read up-dated version of WKA amateur rulebook carefully.
